This boucherouite* rug is a riot of colour. The pattern is a joyful mosaic of geometric forms: squares, rectangles, and irregular and dynamic shapes are organised around the central motif of a line of expanding diamonds that finishes three thirds into the piece. The play between geometry and free-form is pushed to the limit here, which, when combined with the use of highly saturated colours and a coarse texture, results in a powerfully graphic rug that vibrates with the energy of the fabrics’ previous lives.
In very good condition.
