This is a truly unique boucherouite* runner made of recycled materials and industrial yarns. Contrary to the majority of boucherouite found on the market, the weaver has used mostly industrial yarns to knot the pile, rather than coarser strips of recycled fabric. The latter mostly feature in the warp and weft structure underneath.
Visually striking, this piece is built on a strata of blacks, greys, dark blues, and browns, interspersed by smaller areas of vivid pinks, reds, blues, and orange, distributed in a way that emphasises both the horizontal wefts and the vertical edges of the piece, resulting in an almost painterly effect.
The pile is high and textured and the rug is in good condition.
